The Minton factory, established in 1796, was the most popular supply source in the 19th Century of dinnerware made to order for embassies and for heads of state. The name continues today as part of the Waterford, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton Group.
Minton is regarded as one of the outstanding potteries of the 19th and 20th Centuries with its reputation for both industrial enterprise and artistic excellence.
