Indian Tree - Shop
livepages::jquery();?>The Indian Tree pattern was first produced in 1802 by the Coalport Company in the Staffordshire District of England. It was inspired by earlier textile patterns from India.
It features a design of a leafy, flowering tree with crooked, coral-like branches set in an exotic landscape. Mostly in shades of pink, green, blue and brown but actual colours and slight variations in pattern can be seen.
The pattern itself became very popular and several prestigious English pottery manufacturers, including Spode, Wedgwood, Royal Worcester, and Minton as well as several lesser but no less popular manufacturers, produced versions of the Indian Tree pattern.
Indian Tree china is highly collectible due to its historical significance, intricate design, and the quality of the pieces.
