Coalport Indian Tree Pattern Demitasse Cup & Saucer c.1891-1920*

Antique Coalport Indian Tree Demitasse.  The backstamp indicates that this particular demitasse was manufactured during the period 1891-1920.  The Coalport factory created its Indian Tree design in 1801 and it has been one of the most popular made by the company.

The pattern is transfer printed onto pure white china then coloured in by hand.  It was reportedly used to train apprentices taken on by the factory

The cup measures 2½” tall with a top rim diameter of 2¼”

The saucer measures 4½” diameter.

Excellent antique condition with no damage.  Just some very slight nibbling on the underside of the cup.
