Vintage Noritake Tea Set for 8 (26 Pieces) Creamy Yellow Banding with Gilded Motifs c.1949

Vintage 26-Piece Noritake Tea Set for 8 dating from about the late 1940’s.  Pure white semi-translucent china decorated with deep banding in a creamy yellow overlaid with gilded floral motifs.  Gilded rims and handle detail.

Set consists of:

8 x Tea Cups (2½” tall x 3¼” diameter of top rim).

8 x Saucers (5½” diameter)

8 x Tea Plates (6½” diameter

1 x Milk Jug (4” tall)

1 x Sugar Basin (2½” tall by 5” top rim diameter

 This 70-year old tea set is in remarkable vintage condition and looks almost new.  There is no damage. Pattern and glaze are all lovely and fresh.  There are two or three small spots in places (see photo) which are most likely splashes of gilding which wouldn’t have been thought a problem when manufactured during this era.
