Royal Vale - Shop

Royal Vale was manufactured by Colclough China (part of the Ridgway Group) between 1955 and 1964 although the Royal Vale trade mark was registered much earlier following a visit to the factory by King George V and Queen Mary who granted a royal licence.

Under the Royal Vale banner, Colclough produced pieces of bone china for everyday use and it was possible to buy individual pieces in hardware shops and department stores such as F W  Woolworth in the UK.  Royal Vale is synonymous with Colclough, the china being of high quality and virtually indistinguishable without looking at the backstamps.
