Vintage Royal Winton "Summertime" Rectangular Sandwich Serving Plate / Tray. 11¾"x 6¼". c.1940's / Early 1950's

This pretty sandwich serving tray, which can of course be used for serving anything other than sandwiches, is by Royal Winton in the chintz pattern “Summertime” very popular with Royal Winton collectors.

The pattern, featuring an all over floral design of colourful summer flowers was first introduced in 1932 and discontinued in the 1960’s.  The backstamp on this tray contains the capital letter “A” which denotes manufacture during or just after World War II so this dates this sandwich tray to the 1940’s / early 1950’s period.

It measures 11¾ x 6¼".

Lovely vintage condition with no damage and little or no signs of wear.
