Set of 5 Royal Stafford "Coquette" Harvest Fruits Pattern Dinner Plates c.1940's. RARE

This superb set of Royal Stafford bone china dinner plates is in the very rare version of their coquette pattern.  The plates were originally sourced from a very prestigious and well-to-do family.

The backstamp dates them to the early to mid 1940’s.

Coquette is commonly found with a delicate pattern of blue forget-me-nots but these plates feature a highly colourful central transfer printed motif of harvest fruits (pears, apples, blackcurrants and gooseberries) with smaller motifs around the edge.  All on pure white china with a gently fluted outer border and gilded rims.

The plates are 10½” diameter.

Condition is as new as there are no marks and no signs of use.  Patterns and gilding are all bright.  There is a slight manufacturing defect on the rim of one of the plates where the transfer print has slightly overflowed onto a small portion of the gilding.  This is not damage.  See photo.
